Born in 1942 as the daughter of Ruziye and Hacı Ahmet Gazioğlu, one of the leading families of Kayseri, Semiha completed primary and secondary school in Kayseri. Married to Asım Kibar in 1957, Semiha Kibar has three children and four grandchildren.
Due to her love and respect for the essence and culture of the Turkish people, she traveled to Anatolia, especially the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia and the Black Sea regions, at every opportunity; she also visited many countries of the world and read most of the works of French, Russian, English and Turkish philosophers. Semiha Kibar, known in her circle for her interest in painting and fine arts, has a large collection of paintings of historical value and various Ottoman works.
Although she is not actively involved in business life, she continues to lend a helping hand to many institutions and individuals, both by taking part in various organizations and individually.
ASIM KIBAR
Asım Kibar, who was born in Kayseri in 1932, completed his primary, secondary and high school education in this city.
Asım Kibar, who started his business life in 1964 at the Orta Anadolu Mensucat Factory, Turkey's first jean fabric manufacturer, rose to the position of chairman of the board of directors of this company.
Coming to Istanbul in 1970 to establish his own business, ASIM KİBAR established Assan Demir ve Sac Sanayi AŞ in order to utilize his industrial knowledge and started galvanized sheet production in 1980.
As a result of always directing the savings he gained under the influence of his enterprising and entrepreneurial spirit into investment, he ensured the emergence and growth of Kibar Holding, which today consists of a total of 18 companies.
Asım Kibar, who has also made many innovations and investments in terms of social aspects, founded the Erciyes University Semiha Kibar Organ Transplantation and Dialysis Hospital in Kayseri, which is appreciated as the leading organ transplant hospital in Europe, and was honored with the title of "Honorary Doctorate" by Erciyes University.
He was deemed worthy of the “Businessman of the Year” award by Siyaset Magazine in 1997, “Businessman of the Year” by the National Productivity Center in 1998, a special award by the Kayseri Chamber of Industry in 1998, and “Businessman of the Year” awards by the Rotary Club Kocaeli and Nokta Magazine in 1999. In 2002, he was awarded the ‘Commandatore’ Medal of Merit by the Italian Presidency for preferring Italian technology and implementing industrial applications in his companies.
Asım Kibar is married with three children and has four grandchildren.
